After being down for several days, the site is now back online, which means I can finally get a post up here regarding the new birth...
Well it appears I can't seem to make up my mind whether to run this site with WordPress or Drupal. I'd say given the sparsity with which I post blog entries, this site is really more suited for Drupal - that and the serious concerns I continue to have about WordPress. Anywho, we're back to drupal and it looks like I managed to keep all the links the same. If you come across anything that's broken, please let me know. :-)
It's never a good thing when you find out your blog software's been hacked -- even worse when your first notice of the fact is from slashdot! But I don't feel too bad about it, since it just happened yesterday. So far as I can tell (since I don't have direct access to the logs) neither of them were targeted via the compromised code.
But I'm trying to get my [hosting provider](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_hosting_service) to fix it ASAP.
I'm beginning to think I need to change hosts, soon..... :-(
Saw this link come across [Digg](http://digg.com/technology/LeapFish.com_-_How_valuable_is_your_domain_name_): a site to analyze your domain name and give it a value, so naturally....
[Leapfish.com](http://www.leapfish.com)'s analysis of [the value of Allensonthe.net](http://leapfish.com/analyze.php?url=allensonthe.net), as I write this, is $11,094.00.
Anyone want to buy a domain name? :-)
Ok, I'm finally going to give [FeedBurner](http://www.feedburner.com) a shot. Yes, I'm slow.
Not that this site really generates that much traffic. Or that I have a huge fan base. ([Bloglines](http://www.bloglines.com) shows I have three subscribers...and I'm one of them :-) )
No, really I wanted to try feedburner because I might use it for other sites I develop. I probably need to look into [Technorati](http://www.technorati.com), too, huh?
One of our church staff members likes to use the [Holman Christian Standard Bible](http://www.broadmanholman.com/hcsb.ASP "Broadman Holman Publishing") and he also uses [Firefox](http://www.getfirefox.com).
I noticed [Good News Publishers](http://www.gnpcb.org) put out a [Firefox search plugin](http://www.gnpcb.org/esv/share/plugins/) for the [ESV](http://www.esv.org) Bible and thought I'd look to see if something similar were available for the HCSB.
Since I couldn't find anything, I got curious to see how difficult it would be to create one.
It was a piece of cake.
whoa! the site looks a bit different!
I migrated from WordPress to Drupal today. Been thinkin' about it for quite a while now and even made a minimal effort to reproduce some of the look 'n feel of the old site, but when it came down to it, I just didn't have the time to finish it and I was really tired of WP.

As you can see on the left side of the page, I have created a new counter (similar to our Married Blisse counter), counting down the days until we expect our baby to be born... :-)
At the time of this writing, it reads:

Woo Hoo! :-)
