One of our church staff members likes to use the [Holman Christian Standard Bible](http://www.broadmanholman.com/hcsb.ASP "Broadman Holman Publishing") and he also uses [Firefox](http://www.getfirefox.com).

I noticed [Good News Publishers](http://www.gnpcb.org) put out a [Firefox search plugin](http://www.gnpcb.org/esv/share/plugins/) for the [ESV](http://www.esv.org) Bible and thought I'd look to see if something similar were available for the HCSB.

Since I couldn't find anything, I got curious to see how difficult it would be to create one.

It was a piece of cake.

I took a look at the code for the ESV search plugin and made the necessary modifications to search the HCSB using [BibleGateway.com's](http://www.biblegateway.com) interface. Then I went to HCSB's website and created a small thumbnail image so there would be a cute little icon in the dropdown window.
